Principles of EMAT (high-frequency root-canal therapy)

His experience led me to say, "Before we pull it out, let's sterilize it with high frequency current!" I came to think so.
The bone around the tooth root will never heal naturally unless the bacteria are reduced to a certain amount. This is especially true for the elderly, the physically weak, and those who suffer from systemic diseases that weaken their immune systems.

I would give my patients the best treatment I would want them to receive!
This has been my belief since before I opened my clinic.
 No extraction, no grinding."
Once a tooth is lost, unlike hair or a nail, it will never grow back.

It is best to leave them as they are naturally."

I named this treatment "Electro-Magnetic Apical Treatment" (EMAT).
3 years after I started performing EMAT (Electro-Magnetic Apical Therapy) in earnest, I was fortunate to be able to keep all the cases without extracting them, and I could feel joy together with the patients.
In April 2007, I entered the Institute of Health Biosciences at the University of Tokushima Graduate School(Prof. Takashi Matsuo), my alma mater, as a working graduate student in order to elucidate the principles of EMAT. As my research progressed, I found that, as expected, bacteria were greatly reduced by the application of high frequency current, and that it only took a few seconds of conduction.
In April 2008, a breakthrough discovery was made. It turns out that electromagnetic waves increase the number of bone-building cells (osteoblasts). In other words, a mechanism has been elucidated that reduces the number of bacteria attacking the human body and regenerates dissolved bones to their original state.

This treatment can save teeth that previously could only be treated surgically.
"We can keep the natural root of the tooth.
"This will make it unnecessary to extract the tooth.
Various thoughts ran through my mind.

Let EMAT be shared with dentists around the world!
The cutting edge of endodontic treatment is in the United States.
On April 30, 2009, at the "2009 American Associate of Endodontists Annual Session" in Orlando, Florida, USA, I presented "The effect of Electro-Magnetic on bacterial viability and Osteoblastic cell proliferation (The effect of Electro-Magnetic waves on bacteria and osteoblastic cells)" (Figure 22.)
How will the U.S. receive the new treatment that has never been done before? What kind of evaluation would there be?
I came to the U.S. with many thoughts and feelings with a heartfelt letter from all the members of our clinic's crew.

We received many questions from endodontists, dental manufacturers, and dealers from all over the world, and were able to spend four days in the early summer weather exchanging various opinions.
